Young Investigator Poster Awards
Recognizing the Next Generation of Itch Researchers
The National Itch Foundation is pleased to offer five Young Investigator Poster Awards as part of the inaugural National Itch Summit, taking place November 6–7, 2026, at the JW Marriott Miami.
The awards recognize outstanding original research contributions from early-career investigators working in itch, pruritus, neuroimmunology, dermatology, allergy and immunology, neuroscience and related fields.

Five Awards Will Be Presented

1st Prize — $1,500

2nd Prize — $1,000

Three 3rd Prize Awards — $500 each
Eligibility
Abstract submitters who are under 40 years of age at the time of submission may indicate their eligibility for a Young Investigator Award during the abstract submission process.
To be considered, investigators must submit original research in accordance with the National Itch Summit Abstract Guidelines and select the Young Investigator Award option when submitting their abstract.
Encore abstracts are not eligible for Young Investigator Award consideration.

Abstract Submission Deadline

Original Research & Publication
Accepted original abstracts will be published on the National Itch Foundation website and in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID).
Encore abstracts are not eligible for Young Investigator Award consideration or publication in JID.
