About World Prurigo Day

World Prurigo Day is a global awareness initiative dedicated to increasing understanding, education, advocacy, and support for individuals living with chronic prurigo and prurigo nodularis (PN).

Prurigo nodularis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by severe itch, persistent scratching, and painful nodules that can significantly impact sleep, mental health, daily functioning, and quality of life. Despite its burden, awareness and understanding of the condition remain limited.

World Prurigo Day brings together patients, clinicians, researchers, advocacy organizations, and industry leaders from around the world to:

  • raise awareness
  • share current research and treatment advances
  • improve education and recognition
  • foster community and support
  • advance care for people living with chronic prurigo
